This year's New Teacher Dinner will be held in October at Ripa's Restaraunt in Lancaster beginning at 4:00. We honor our new teachers and give them the opportuntity to learn about their financial options and the benefits they can receive as union members. It was also a nice chance for the new members to ask questions and meet their co-workers over dinner.

Summer Leadership Conference

This year's Summer Leadership Conference was held in August. We participated in activities that included training in legal matters, layoffs, union rep training, political action committees, benefits, and community service.

Vote Cope

Vote Cope donations will be requested in the Spring. Please consider giving a $1/paycheck donation to help support educational programs and labor lobbying efforts in New York State. Remember, 40% of all donations are given back to the local union. We hope and plan for 100% participation.
