Welcome to the NYSUT Member Benefits/NYSUT Benefit Trust web page. This is where you'll find descriptions of the many benefits and services available to NYSUT members and agency fee payers. In addition to voluntary plans and services available to individual members, Member Benefits also offers group plans for purchase by local associations, their benefit funds, and employers of NYSUT members.

NYSUT Benefit Trust was established in 1983 for the purpose of providing members access to quality, competitive insurance plans, investments and benefit programs. The Benefit Trust is a not-for-profit operation that is not supported by any dues money. Programs offered through the Trust operate under a separate Trust budget; no co-mingling of funds occurs between the Trust and NYSUT. Ten trustees, who are from NYSUT's Board of Directors, oversee the operations of the Trust. Walter E. Dunn, Jr., NYSUT's Second Vice President, chairs the Trust.
